½ cup brown sugar
½ cup old-fashioned oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 stick cold butter, in chunks
½ cup pecans, chopped
2½ pounds apples, peeled
½ cup dried cranberries
¼ cup maple syrup

1. Preheat oven to 375ºF

2. Butter a 9½-inch, 2-quart pie pan and set aside.

3. For the topping, put ¾ cup flour, brown sugar, oats,
cinnamon, and butter in a food processor and pulse to
form moist clusters.

4. Add pecans to topping mixture and stir in by hand; set
topping mixture aside.

5. Cut the peeled apples into ½-inch chunks and put them in
the buttered pie pan.

6. Add cranberries, maple syrup, and ½ tablespoon flour to
apples and mix until well combined.

7. Scatter topping evenly over apple mixture in pie pan.

8. Place pie pan on a parchment-lined baking sheet and
bake at 375ºF for 40 to 50 minutes.

9. Serve warm, at room temperature, or chilled.
