Yeah it was. Truth be told, I wasn't much in the mood for creative cooking today.
But, tomorrow I'm making my slow cooker creamy tortellini soup 😋 😉

I came across a recipe for "Crazy Crust Pizza". While it sounds more like the long-lost distant cousin of Pizza, it does sound like it might be tasty. I may need to change it's name! LOL. Anyway, I think I'll try making that for dinner tonight. I've just finished making a huge batch of enchilada sauce, 3 portions went in the freezer and 1 in the fridge to use soon.

I made another salad - I really didn't want to cook!
Can't drive until tomorrow, so Judy took me to the grocery store to pick up what I needed.

Jules, Pam and myself are going to eat at Ninja this afternoon. ☺️
Pam was starting to feel not so well, so she didn't go out with us.
We didn't go to Ninja, we ate at Hill's restaurant instead.
As soon as we walked in, I spied one of the young nurse aides who used to work with us.
Soon as she saw us, she burst into tears.
I thought it was because she hadn't seen us in over two years.
She asked us to please sit with her, so we did.
Her life is in such a mess.
The owners know all three of us and were thankful Jules and I showed up, which is odd, it's like we were meant to be there for her.
I had the burger platter, Jules had steak and eggs.
Freedom barely touched her taco salad that she had been picking around on before we got there.
I paid for everyones meals.
On the way out, Guy (the owner) asked us if we wanted pie, on the house.
I chose coconut cream.
Didn't get a picture of our meals, because prior to that ,the conversation was heavy and emotional.

Other people who know her were happy about it.
In the midst of all that I got a text that our lovely Julian passed away.
He was another of my best loved residents.
I don't mean to take the dinner thread in another direction, but he was so special 😭
Yes I do cry when the ones who hit hard die.
I just spoke with him a few nights ago.
He never forgets that I am from Delphos with the big church and Central Soya plant.
